Every year, between May and October, Atlantic Canada is a celebration. And you're invited to a season of festivals inspired by lobsters, wooden boats, folk art, fiddling, Anne of Green Gables and much more. Almost every town and community has a unique tradition or taste they've been preparing to share with you. So bring your kilt or dancing shoes. Let's Ceilidh!
Get in step at the Royal St. John's Regatta, the oldest continual sporting event and barbecue in North America. The Festival Acadien de Clare brings you heart-to-heart with the Acadians - their food, their song, their joie de vivre. And what's a trip to Prince Edward Island without Summerside's Lady Slipper Square Dance Jamboree? There's all the lobster you can eat at the Shediac Lobster Festival and all the clans you can gather at the Antigonish Highland Games. To clown around, catch the Buskerfest in Halifax and top it off with dessert at the Bakeapple Festival in Point Armour and Labrador Straits.
